Universal City is one of the best kept secrets in Texas.
I am running for City Council because I believe in our City and know that the best is yet to come. I believe the role of a Council Member is to consider what is best for the community now and in the future. I am a strong believer in the democratic process, and I believe the people should decide what Universal City's future should look li
I am running for City Council because I believe in our City and know that the best is yet to come. I believe the role of a Council Member is to consider what is best for the community now and in the future. I am a strong believer in the democratic process, and I believe the people should decide what Universal City's future should look like, which is why I voted FOR the new Comprehensive Plan. It is clearly the most effective tool to let the people's opinion be heard!
It is often asserted by newcomers to Universal City that the City should only fund "Basic Services". This assertion is nowhere to be found in our City Charter. In fact, only providing "Basic Services" is a mandate for the County regarding the County's responsibility to the residents living in Unincorporated areas. Our City is incorporated, which means the people who actually owned this land when our City was founded wanted more than the mere "Basic Services" that Bexar County provided. No one is forced to live here and I have to question why anyone who only wants "Basic Services" would chose to buy a house here?
My thoughts and perceptions on our City:
- We have a strong City Manager who has retained or hired excellent directors. Our employees are knowledgeable in their areas of expertise and the represent the City well.
- I support First Responders and the roles they take in keeping our community and our families safe.

- Each community member has the right to do their own research and state their opinion.
- Universal City is a great place to live, let’s work and vote to keep it that way!
